I don't understand how water can be wasted when it recycles itself....right? Am I understanding this correctly? Can someone please explain this to me? I am trying to understand the water cuts imposed on farmers. Thanks for all answers!

  1. There is no water shortage.  The total amount of water in the world is just tremendous, and does not change  However, there is a shortage of drinking (potable) water, expecially in certain places. Water that is used for irrigation is not available for drinking.

  2. wasting water would b like out here in mddle of nowhere with mothly water diliveries. if u throw it on the ground or the dog is stupid and spills his  daily bucket of water 5 minutes after he gets it. its considered wasting because u only have so much of it and u throw it away like trash. if u think u cant waste water u hafta think more and not b such a snob about  "so much water in the world being the same amount" its stupid and its being retarded. there is wasting water but not the way all u "smart"  people say. its throwing away something of use or need. wen u throw water from a limited source into the ground or p**s in a cup of water or take a superlong shower wen u hav a limited supply, is wasting it. dont b all stupid about "water recycling itself" no **** it does that but u dont hafta think on that level. think on the level of having a limited supply of water.

  3. I am sorry for wasting water.

  4. We need to conserve the remaining fresh water.  Even though water can be treated and distilled, most people have an aversion to drinking recycled water from sewers.  Our population is growing at such a rate that we are outstripping the water cycle.  Farmers aren't using recycled water for irrigation.  They are using water from the Ogallala aquifer, which is our biggest source of clean freshwater.  The level in the aquifer is dropping rapidly.

The world population is 6,674,067,889 as of 05:48 GMT (EST+5) Jun 14, 2008.  U.S. population has grown by 1.2% per year over the last 50 years. This "low" growth rate means it has taken only 58 years for our population to double.  The world population is projected to grow from 6 billion in 1999 to 9 billion by 2042, an increase of 50 percent that will require 43 years.

  5. No, water cannot be wasted. But filtered water can be wasted. The water will have to filtered again once it goes back into the ground.
