How can your feet shrink from a 9 to a 6 1/2?

My girl friend was an ugly size 9 when I met her 2 years ago when she was 16 now she's a 6 1/2, how is this possible?

Because she was speaking B u l l s h i t when she told you she was a size 9. Your feet cannot shrink. They may get slighty smaller if you are overweight and you lose weight - because there will be less fat and padding around the bones.

But they will not shrink 2 sizes and a half. No way

I thought i was a size 9 too, and bought big shoes and then when i got used to them they'd be too big. I'm a size six for shoes too. It also has to do with other people's versions of shoe sizes, like, one shop might have a size 6 but they call it size 8, and the shop across would think a size 8 was a 5 etc etc.

did she lose a lot of weight? i know your feet can shrink if u lose weight but not sure by that much

I used to wear a size 5 shoe and now I wear a size 3/4.

So i don't know how that happened but it did.
