How change from one 2WIRE modem to another 2WIRE modem?

Question

How change from one 2WIRE modem to another 2WIRE modem? Same laptop, diferent houses. Both have AT&T DSL service.

Notes:

Windows XP, Works at one house and not at other. How change to the diferent code printed on the bottom of the second modem?

It would be best if you could log into one of the two routers, and change its wireless SSID (name).  You could make it anything you want other than the default of 2WIRE.  Then the Wireless Network connection would detect and connect to which ever is in range (after you enter the codes from the bottom of each)

Assuming you have permission to use either modem or both...

and I think you are asking how to switch between the two...

In MyNetwork Places you would install both modems, and give them different names

Example:

HomeModem1,   and GrannysModem2

Then when at HomeModem house you'll ENable that one, and Disable Grannys;

and when at GrannysModem2 you'll Enable Grannys and Disable Home

This will work, as long as "Granny" gives you permission to  connect to her modem.
