Just go on some of the free insurance quote sites like insureme.com and fill out their forms.  You'll probably get some calls from other insurance agents, but then you'll know for sure whether you're getting a good deal.  In fact, it's a good idea to do this type of comparison to make sure you're getting a good deal.  Make sure to do it again every 3-5 years too.

    If you want to make your insurance cheaper, do things like increasing your deductible, combining your auto and home insurance with one company, maintain good credit, etc.


  2. If I said, I couldn't find it in FL for less than $4,000, would that mean anything to you?  No.  Because you don't know how big my house is.  Or how high the rates are in FL.

    And it's ALSO based on how old your house is,  AND your claims history, and credit score.

    There's no shortcut.  If you want to know if you're getting a good deal, call a couple of independent agents in your area, and get quotes from a half dozen companies they represent.  THAT'S how you know if you've got a good deal.
