Renting in Santo Domingo and Santiago and Puerto Plata are between

5.000 & 30.000 RDS all depending your taste and lifestyle. If you have

the idea to go every day to a restaurant then life will be expensive! But normally living without a car you must think about 40.000 rds/month.

This is depending of many factors I don't know to answer you properly,

If you work there for a prominent company most give yo a housing allowance as well as food budget.  Just to live it will be fairly expensive, again depending on what your looking for there.  Nice houses anywhere from 400,000-2+million
