Im a real anti-germ freak and I was just wondering, how do u deal with the idea that when a cat does its business it decides to sit on your lap or something? Or ur couch? etc This is just a vague example but hopefully u understand what I mean.

  1. Cats are very clean animals,They clean themselves constantly. If you are this uptight about germs you don't need a pet at all.Sorry.

  2. clean

  3. I completely understand where you are coming from. I could not stand the thought of the cat I had doing its business, stepping around in it then getting on my counters. You could try training it to scratch on the door when it needs out or try wiping its paws after it uses the bathroom with those germicidal wipes.

  4. Do you have a cat? if so then why if you are such a clean person, cats are very clean and look after themselves. they do sometimes need a helping hand if they are poorly or have the runs, which you can buy wipes for. another thing you have to watch out for is the bursting of their anal glands, this can happen at any time and is not a pleasant smell, although not all cats will do this. No matter what pet you have there will be the odd accident that you will have to deal with.So either be prepared for some accidents or dont have a pet. =^..^=

  5. If you're a real germ-freak, don't get a cat or dog.  Cats clean themselves a lot, but they do stand in the litter box, l**k their butts (and you), and otherwise have contact with their own f***s.  Plus any animal can have accidents or get sick.  Please don't get an animal you'll have to get rid of later.  It's bad for you and traumatic for them.

Not to scare you, but to give you an idea - I have 5 cats and a dog.  I'm no longer squeamish about urine, f***s, diarrhea, vomit, blood, dead rodents, parts of dead rodents, half-eaten rabbits... you get the idea.  Take a look at all the postings asking how to clean up cat urine.  Yes, cats are clean.  No, that doesn't mean your kind of clean.

    How about fish?

  6. Well, if you keep your cats litter box clean and change the litter regularly, it helps a lot with the whole germ thing. And keep in mind that cats dont step on their own poo and pee, they avoid it and bury it. Other than that, they are pretty clean animals, minus the shedding and occasional hairball :) If you're a germ freak, I wouldn't suggest getting a cat. Or if you do want one, train it to go in a toilet. (yes it's possible)

  7. I have 3 cats and have had for nearly 10 years. I've had cats my whole life and I will always have cats til the day I die. Everyone and everything in this world has germs, and in my opinion cats are one of the cleanest animals to have and if you look after them properly then you have even less to worry about.

I think people have more germs than cats. You shake hands with people dont you? And do you ever wonder where that hand has been, unwashed? Yuck lol.

  8. they are clean they are always cleaning themselves if it bothers you though gets some wipes to clean them up from face to butt
