  1. any electronic store...

yes, Vietnam tap water is clean....it's so clean tat it's black hahahhhaha

  2. stay away form VIETNAM and you wont have that problem !!!!

  3. we use korean filter tank . bottled water recommended

fly to hanoi - the capital . i'd show u places of intersest for free, as i used to work as a tourist guide . mail me

    mail & ym  groovyfox3001@yahoo.com

    fone  049037584   0914339439

  4. it's not clean ! all the hotels have huge filter tanks on the roof as do some of the more modern homes... but i've never seen a tank beining cleaned or replaced..even in a small home drinking fountain...drink btl water, drink boiled water, tea, rice wine or beer.... get your adapter in  your home country., any electrical store.& get 2 diffrent shaped plugs , flat and round.

  5. Buy bottled water.

  6. Tap water IS NOT clean in Vietnam. The proof is along the banks of the Red River along Hanoi and the Saigon River along Saigon. You will see trash of all kind pushed into the river. It was one of the most grotesque things that I have ever seen in my life.

It was just found that Da Nang still has a problem with dioxin (Agent Orange). A toxic dump at the airport was found to still have 300 to 500 times the safe levels of dioxin. This has been seeping into the water supply for over 30 years.

Some of the 5-star hotels claim to filter their water, but I still wouldn't trust it. NEVER drink tap water in Vietnam. There's plenty of bottle water to drink.

As for your plug adapter, I highly recommend the following:

    http://www.apc.com/resource/include/tech...

It is compact, rugged and can be configured to any plug configuration you may run into.

Good luck on your trip, and remember; DO NOT DRINK THE WATER...

  7. I was in Vietnam in June '07 and even though I stayed in 4 star motels that stated the water was filtered and clean - I only bought bottled water to drink and brush my teeth. Its very cheap to buy and its not worth getting sick. Don't have any ice in your drinks either. When buying water, make sure that the seal is not broken - people do collect the plastic bottles and fill them with tap water and sell.

I bought an adapter in Vietnam for a couple of dollars for my digital camera - a lot of the motels I stayed in offered them as part of their service.

  8. a plug adapter? not sure what you even mean by that. Dont drink or cook with the water in Asia, dont even open your mouth when you are having a shower and dont brush your teeth with it.
