I've seen an article, but I don't know if its accurate that Toyota has a 100mpg Prius ready to roll out in 2009. Where are we in getting a 100mpg car?

Thanks!

  1. there is a 100 mpg car look http://youtube.com/watch?v=iN0LQJLabqA

    it is small!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Actually, we have for almost a month now.  Where've you been, dude?

2008 Tesla Roadsters have been sold out.  There's a waiting list, I believe, for the 2009 model.  Sure, they're $100,000, but you asked for a production model 100 MPG car (the Roadster's equivalent to 135 MPG, by the way).

They have a sedan in the works - at a lower cost, of course.

  3. You can get a hybrid and buy a battery charger and disconnect the gas engine and you get far more than 100 MPG. But what we need is a new hybrid engine that use energy with out burning fuel. I am working on this type of engine.

  4. Not close at all. The only way to get 100 miles per gallon is to have hybrid engines, and of course to make the cars really small.

Toyota has actually made an improved car which gives more mpg than the Prius because it is smaller in size....this is the Toyota IQ:
