  1. Radar is somewhat limited to within a mile or so, but if they are using laser, i got hit at almost 2 miles, and it held up in court.

  2. As long as you are in their line of sight..they can get you probably as far as a half a mile away...I'm not sure of maximum distance..but it's at least a half a mile.

  3. I was with a friend once that got stopped by radar and he told her she was 165 feet from him when he clocked her.  I know that isn't very far in a car, but I heard they pick up farther than that.   The one that sits on telegraph in my city he gets them every few minutes.

  4. Radar range varies widely with radar, target (size/shape), and weather conditions.

    Maximum detection range can be as little as 100 feet, or greater than 1 mile.
