  1. The average in winter time is about 30-40 degress for a high.

  2. It depends on where in NC you are.  If you are way up in the High Country (Boone, Rutherfordton, ect.) it's gonna be colder than if you are on the coast near the beach (Wilmongton, Outer Banks).

In the High Country, it may get down to zero depending on wind chill, snow showers, etc.  If you are in in the middle of the State, say around Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Greensboro, it may get to the 30s or 40s.  It's probably the same near the beach and on the Outer Banks.

Winters in NC are fairly mild because we're so far South.  It's pretty tolerable of you have a good heavy coat and some boots because we get wicked ice storms.  Not a lot of snow, but lots of ice.

    Hope this helps.

  3. by the shore about low 40s, maybe 50s

on the mountains 30s are likely

  4. burrell is right, we can't really answer this question if we don't know what part of nc you're talking about. remember that nc has both cold mountain areas and temperate coastal areas

  5. i went there one winter and it had snow on the ground.. i'm from texas so anything below 70 is chilly for me lol..

weather.com has a thing where you can look up average temp for specific areas..

nc is one of my favorite states : )
