It's called a sense of entitlement.

Some ppl don't feel they should have to work so hard or study too long to obtain the material items they want & think they deserve.

And in there venture to get the next item for free they lose their soul (haha j/k) but they do lose that sense of hard work & determination.

When ppl get things for free they tend to not treasure it as much and they also want the next item free too...

If you are speaking about government programs that waste the money being taxed from you, and all the people that are answering this question ,if they are old enough to pay taxes. Then it's because of a generation that has grown up without wanting anything.  They don't know that they have to work for anything because its been their right to have it given to them.

No one cares about the taxpayers rights unless they finally realize that their taxes are going for non work and advertised as helping the poor.  There are many people that really do need the help and are being grouped into the class that does take everything for nothing.  Communism/Socialism;  The power of failure!!!!

I don't want everything for free.

There is NO FREE.    That's the mantra from idiots who think something from the Government is "free".   They're too dumb to realize that to get that $100 benefit, the government had to collect $650 in taxes to pay for the administration and bloated programs.

SOME people are greedy...  they want something for nothing.

A number of people I've talked to of late are sick and tired of paying through the nose for things that illegal aliens get free -- like medical care.  Big cocktail-party debate a few weeks ago... hospital administrator revealed over half of every bill from his hospital is unrelated to actual patient care.  Over a quarter is costs shifted from non-paying (i.e. illegal alien) patients, and another quarter is administrative expenses, predominently processing insurance forms and problems with insurance companies.

If your health insurance premiums were cut in half, could you afford it?  If your hospital bill was cut in half, could you afford it?  A great many uninsured Americans would find that much more manageable.

If you are referring to health care, no one is talking about free. The term is affordable. BIG difference.

Ibu guru- a lot of those non insured people are Americans who cannot afford insurance. There are some illegals, to be sure. But not all are.

Our insurance and health care system is broken.

I recently went with an insured person to the ER. He had dehydration form the flu. he got a bag of IV fluids and the bill was over $6000!!!
