How come Australian cars never had big blocks?

Even in the 70s, the biggest engine that was put in the Ford performance cars was the 351 Windsor/Cleveland. But I guess many of Australia's performance cars were smaller than America's.

  1. Because Australia is smaller than America.

    Australia doesn't think the people there need cars with big engines.

    They require too much gas.

    They'd be no match for other cars with big engines.

    Because big footed marsupials like them and it's one way to keep them -and everyone else- safe.
