How come Bill O'Reilly thought it was appropriate to kill innocent civilians right after 9/11?

I was watching a youtube clip of the factor from 9/13/01 and Bill O wanted to murder innocent people.

like I know the average guy on the street during that time might think like that and that is understood as emotions were high. But a big name like O'Reilly on a show like The Factor saying that innocent people have to die....isn't that wrong or at least crazy? like I know the terrorists did what they did but they are terrorists and they are not like normal but American troops are not terrorists and apparently O'Reilly thought we had to stoop to that level.

Do his comments really reinforce the idea that this dude is a total whack job?

  1. Why are you watching network television? There is nothing but propaganda littered with a few partial truths. It's really not worth the time to sort through what is true and what is government and corporate spin. If you want to know the truth about US foreign policy, please read Noam Chomsky.

The US needs to set a higher standards. We are currently slaughtering more innocent civilians (children, women, and men) than enemy soldiers. The US is violating international law and has no legal justification for invading and occupying any country in the Middle East.

We should not allow corporate profiteering. The occupation of Iraq has not contributed to the well being of average Americans.

This is no war, this is an illegal corporate occupation.

If the US did not have overwhelming military control of the world, I'm convinced our administration would be tried as international terrorists & criminals.

Remember Pat Tillman felt that the war in Iraq was wrong.

  2. Bill O' Reilly and his show are very popular because of his usual, off-the-cuff statements that sometimes make your blood boil. He is so right-wing in his sentiments, (he has to be, after all, he is Republican), he expresses hardline opinions to be heard by the opposing side (opposing as in Democrats or moderates). He probably was trying to justify why American troops were reported to have killed civilians in hotspots in Iraq or elsewhere, as a result of 9/11 during retaliatory offensives. In other words, as a result of terrorist attacks similar to those that occured on US soil on 9/11, motivated similar offensives by American troops against terrorists in places like Iraq, or Afghanistan and would most likely end up with a huge amount of collateral damage made up mostly of innocent civilians.
