How come Black people look down on Blacks who don't support Obama?

Question

Self explanatory. I'm a Black college student, and most of my friends look down on me because I did not vote for Obama in the primary (and won't in November). I have my reasons for doing so, but they insist that it's "more important" to elect a Black president than it is to vote for the person whom you feel is best for the job.

For the record, I don't support McCain either, but he seems to be more experienced than Obama is.

But i would like to know why you don't support him,you can't possibly feel Mccain is the better man,experience isn't always best !

My dear, you sound as if you're generalizing. Please don't do that - you do not come in to contact with the entire black race, so do not lump them all in to one category. As you age, and gain more wisdom, you'll understand how detrimental that is. With that being said, you need to vote for whomever best supports your beliefs. Period. Race, gender, religious affiliation aside. Good luck.

I think its because a lot of blacks are voting for Obama just because he is black and if you dont agree with their vote they will look down on you and its not right.  Your entitled to vote for who you want and if they dont like it too bad.  Sorry you have to go through that.

Because most of them are democrats. To be honest, I'm black, and I'm an independent, not democrat. I take more of a liking to  Obama though.
