Question:

How come Bowling isn't an Olympic Sport?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think bowling is a sport. And if you've ever played it, you'd know that it is NOT easy and takes plenty of skill.

  1. I think it is a sport and should be an Olympic sport.

They are taking Softball (and Baseball) out of the 2012 Olympics to replace them with Bowling...Personally, Baseball...and ESPECIALLY Softball BELONG in the Summer Olympic games and fastpitch Softball is WAY more exciting to watch than bowling!!!  Baseball and Softball are OUTDOOR Summer sports, Bowling is NOT!!!  Bowling is fun to play, but to watch?

    Sign a Petition...Put Softball & Baseball back in the 2016 Summer Olympics!!!

  6. You are right, Bowling is a sport. But the reason that it is not an Olympic Sport is because not enough countries have good players. The United States would win every time, although there would be 4 competitions (men's singles, women's singles, men's team, women's team) and also, they would have to build a bowling alley, and nobody from China would want to watch it. Personally, I would definitely want Bowling to be an Olympic Sport, but it just doesn't fit in.

  8. reason for the elimination of baseball and softball is because its not getting the draw. and number two the us softball mainly womens team is absolutely killing everyone so it boast no interest. when bowling falls to the wayside as a more boreing sport they'll install baseball and softball back.

  9. Sports included in the Olympics do not include games which inherently have an element of chance. Bowling, is such sport, although in the late 80s, there was a "demonstration" of competitive bowling in Manila for possible inclusion in the Olympics. It didn't make it.
