Was it to do with the expensive landscape or something like that?

I think Disney would have been great for England!

  1. Because Walt was American.

He came up with Disneyland as a place that adults and children alike could go and have fun together.

Walts wife and daughters lived with him in the US and he wanted a place he could go with them, so obviously he made Disneyland right near where he and his family lived.

  2. Probably a combination of the English weather & unavailblity  of a large track of land.

    :o)

  3. Because there is a larger population, with more $ to spend on rediculous **** (and more of a propensity to do so) in the US

  4. i think that france is a more central location in europe. britian might be convenient for you, but not as convenient as france for most europeans. also, i'd venture to say that france probably has more tourisim overall. naturally, in great britian you do see your fair share of tourists, but not like france, in my opinion.

also, it probably DOES have something to do with the weather. i know that the UK is not always grey and cold, but disney will usually only build in places that are sunny a vast majority of the time. southern california and florida are much farther south even than paris, so they're warmer and sunnier at least 75% of the time, probably more.
