How come Federer beat Nadal on clay in Hamburg a while ago ??

He was lucky to catch Nadal at the back end of 4 consecutive weeks of clay court  tournament play. Nadal was understandably tired going into that match, and all credit to Federer as well, because he played better that day, for whatever reason.  Nadal then took a week off before heading into Roland Garros, where he would beat Federer in the final in a bizarre 4 set match that wasn't really very close at the end.

a lil bit of luck. he was on his game and nadal wasnt..thats just it. as much as i dont like nadal..hes just THAT good on clay
