Question:

How come I've been getting so tired lately??

I've been running cross country for about a week now and its been going great, but in the last two practices I've been getting tired really fast, and my heart feels weak.I've been fine before, but at yesterday's practice, I got tired really fast.The same thing happened today. Its not normal for me to get tired that fast. Does anybody know why I've been getting sooooooo tired

  1. i have had the same thing happen to me my first year of XC. i wasn't eating right and i wasn't getting enough sleep. and i was over training as well. you need to eat lots of protein. because after you run you are actually breaking down your mussels. protein helps build and replenish your mussels. and not a lot of junk food. and you need more sleep. everyone was like at least 8 hours. but before a big race. i usually go to bed fairly early. it helps your body prepare and rest up for the next day. and another thing is to not over do it to soon. work up your endurance. it takes time. and you do want to push yourself, but not at practices where you are to the point where you think your going to puke. and speed work also helps a lot. works with the finish at the end of the race, and also your performance during the race. and also remember to eat carbs before a big race. and the day of, dont eat anything green, like lettuce, because it has cellulose in it and can affect your performance in a bad way. and stay away from milk, because it can curdle in your stomach. and hydrate the night before a race. not the day of. trust me, it takes a while before it can get through your system. by the end of the first mile, youll be wishing you had a bathroom there!  


  2. That happens to me in every sport (soccer, track even baseball) I know i get enough sleep. Eating right and in teh right proportion helps, try maybe some energy boosting drinks (AMP, etc) like an hour before you run. Sometimes it helps me if I stretch. If that doesnt help ask your doctor.  

  3. maybe u havent been eating right,or maybe u havent gotten any good sleep.

    i've been feeling tired lately too,and before it wouldn't happen.

    I think its because i havent gotten any good sleep.
