  1. Trust me, you DON'T want jury duty. You have to abandon your life for however long the trial is for practically nothing. Here's a tip to help you avoid: when they interview you for jury selection, make sure you come off as a dead-beat racist. Within less than five minutes, they'll finish up.

  2. yes you have missed something, to your advantage i think

  3. They frequently take jurors from a pool of the county taxpayers.  If you don't own any real property, like a home in your county, your name probably isn't showing up on the tax rolls....

  4. maybe some day you will you never know

  5. I've gotten called 3 times and I'm only 34.  They go by your driver's license and it's random.  I guess you're just one of the lucky ones.  Jury Duty isn't all that much fun.  You sit around all day in a room full of people waiting to be called, and then they ask you a million personal questions in front of everyone.  Plus the parking situation is usually inconvenient and it doesn't pay sh**.  You miss work and your projects stack up a mile high and then you're behind for 2 weeks.

But anyway, to answer your question... they just randomly draw from driver's licenses.

  6. My 53 year old mom has never been asked for Jury Duty.  It is just one of those things.

  7. Your just lucky .

  8. Depends how they do the selection in your city or state. Here it is done random by drivers license.
