Make no mistake, I can read but whenever I try to read a book I just can't concentrate. I can usually can make it though a few pages but I have to force myself to keep going on and then I eventually stop. How come this happens and what can help me with this?

  1. Because deep down inside you hate them d**n words.

  2. I have this problem too. I've narrowed it down to either i'm not that interested in the book/topic. Or i have ADD.

Maybe you should see if there are other symptoms of it.

  3. Me to, Reading bores the h**l outta me. It puts me to sleep. This may be why alot of people read before bed.

I read contracts , that's it. Plus mail, stuff like that

  4. well you probably have ADD.its not like being retarded or anything you just have trouble focusing,go to a drug store and look for something called fisol(fish oil) and take one in the mornig and one at night and it should help you focus.good luck

  5. There could be several reasons, but have you been under pressure lately? Stress and depression often make it hard to concentrate on reading, possibly due to the way that fear and distress are very difficult sensations to ignore, and easily intrude upon our concentration (just a speculation).

  6. because you watch too much TV. You cannot stay attentive for awhile.  You need to stop watching TV.
