Question:

How come I can't finish what I start?

I got stories, screenplays, some music that I can't seem to finish. That also goes for my fashion creations. Unless I'm doing something for someone else I can't seem to finish anything I start for myself.

Why?

  1. It's probably because you're afraid of messing up the ending of a beautiful creation or piece of whatever you're working on. That's possible and after analyzing myself, I realized that's the reason why I do it without realizing. :)

Or sometimes you're just trying to get so many things done at the same time that you get nothing done at all. It can be many things, you also have to look at your schedule and see if anything's stopping you from getting things finished.

  2. Maybe my husband could help you! He never  gets anything done after he starts something either. I always have to hire someone to finish a project he started because he loses interest.

  3. Maybe this would help to some degree:

    1. Write down your objective, ie. to write a story. Describe just the outline, from start to finish.

    2. Research how much time you THINK you'll need to finish, and predict a projected date. Check out supplies, data, and other info you'll need to do the task and the cost.

    3. Determine how much time each day or week you're willing or have time to work on the project. Set a start and end date.

    4. If, after doing the above steps, you realize it'll take too much time, energy, etc. to continue, don't start. But if you think you can go through with the project, set repeated calendar reminders for step #3.

    5. Take breaks and reward yourself after each project session you've completed.

    Hope it helps.

  4. i have the EXACT same problem.

    i get bored easily.

and i just dont want to do what im working on anymore.

  5. You might be conditioned.

A conditioned response can make you act like a puppy, always wanting to please, but literally psycho (in physical / emotional pain) when it comes to helping yourself.

Help is available, but usually at a cost.

Do you know about conditioned responses?

Pavlov, a Russian psychologist / psychiatrist discovered and proved that dogs and people could in fact be conditioned to respond to stimuli such as the ringing of a bell every time food is presented. Individuals thus conditioned salivate (produce spit) every time a similar bell is wrong in their presence, until "deprogrammed". Since the discovery of this effect a nearly pure science has evolved on the subject of programming and deprogramming individuals (conditioning and unconditioning).

D ate R ape D rugs, because of their availability and powerfull amnesic effects on the concious (but not unconcious) mind, have been used by some to condition others.

Thank God (?) the conserfatives legallized these dangerous pharmoseudicals for use by horse owners in the Greater USA!!!

What would we do without conserfatives?
