How come I didn't realize until now that Gordon Brown is now the PM?

I watched the news a lot last summer, but somehow I missed the passing of the torch from Tony Blair to Gordon Brown. I knew Blair was leaving, but I missed it when he actually did. I'm trying to figure out why I didn't know until now that Brown has been in office since last summer. Did the news just not report it? Has this happened to anyone else or is it just me?

  1. ah yes its because you as stated are not British. and weren't counting the days to get Gordon Brown.

Those of us that knew he was finally going after telling us he was leaving so many times actually held one h**l of a party when he did leave office. No it was in the news buried I imagine somewhere around the liberals conference time.

Problem is Blair is still out there trying to fix the world.

  2. I remember that the news services gave it adequate coverage (if not a sensational one). You must have gone into a long period of hibernation to miss this one :)
