My parents pay the TV license, we have a HD ready Digital TV.

So how come we don't have BBC HD. Why are we paying the BBC and not getting all of the service?

  1. you need to buy an HD receiver for it, either a Sky HD box or Humax HD freesat box.

  2. You pay the TV licence for BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4 and all the BBC radio channels.

BBC HD is not included in the licence fee.  It costs extra.

  3. BBC HD is only being broadcast on sky, but in the near futre it will be broadcast on normal freeview channels.

  4. It costs extra for hd.

  5. You pay extra for the HD, but I wouldn't bother if I were you, if you have a decent telly you don't need to pay loads more for 'higher definition'!
