How come I keep going to sleep late and almost missing the bus in the morning?

  1. You have to get yourself on a sleep schedule. Whatever time you need to wake up, count back at least 8 hrs and make this your bedtime, EVERY NIGHT.

    Then set your clock to get up at the same time every morning.

    Put your clock across the room, not next to your bed.

    It is VERY hard, I know, i have this same problem.

    You can take a natural herb called 'melatonin' which is natural and NOT a drug, about 30 min before bedtime.

    I use it almost every night and it works really good and doesn't make you feel weird like the over the counter sleep meds.


  2. Because you have a lot of homework and do unnecessary thingsOR you have adjusted to sleeping late and it becomes a habit.

    The earlier you sleep, the better. You can wake up earlier so you won't miss the bus. Try getting a set time for bedtime so you know when to go to sleep.

  3. this is how a young person's body works.  talk to your school counselor about other options like private or charter school.  there are some great schools that accomodate a teen's body rhythms and help him/her become a success.

When it is time for bed and its bed time..Decipline Self After Couple of weeks/months you can adapt to this routine, When you woke up, do 10-20 Minutes brisk walk, it'll keep you alive and awake, or dance around, do anyhing that will keep you awake,then Schedule Plan A good Schedule, Doing Your Homework, etc..Pland Ahead Keep time..:) And Hope you make it on time now.

  6. You have to train yourself to go to bed early and fall asleep quick so you can get the rest that your body needs.

  7. Because you're not motivated to get up. You need to find something that will make you want to get up in the morning. That will create a positive attitude for you and you'll find more energy.
