How come I pay for cable, but still see all those commercials?

  1. Because the cable is simply the medium by which you receive the signal.  The networks and cable channels aren't paid, they make money off of advertising (with the exception of premium channels, which you pay for individually).


  2. Because the commercials are how NBC, CBS etc make their money. The cable companies make their money off of us. I don't know if the cable companies have to pay to carry certain stations, but its all about making money. So, we have to sit through commercials and suffer.

    But, commercials are a good break to go to the bathroom, or get something to drink, so you don't really need to watch them. I know during commercials is when I do cleaning or anything I can do quick.

    When  nothing is on, then I clean during that 30 minutes, or whatever.

  3. Because commercials pay to put shows on. Be happy for them.
