How come Manny never got punished for beating that secretary to a pulp?

Because baseball is a multi-milliondollar business and Manny has brought a lot of money to Boston. I'm a life-long Red Sox fan and I have HAD it with this guy.  I don't believe that he "beat him to a pulp", but he did use physical violence to take out his frustration.  I teach fifth grade, and we would never allow a  kid to get away with the c**p that this spoiled brat of a ballplayer is allowed to get away with.

Personally, every time Manny complains that he wants to get traded, I pray that some other club will be dumb enough to take on his mega salary and more mega ego.

Boston has no control over Manny.  They let him get away with absolutely despicable behavior and excuse it as "Manny being Manny."  He hates Boston, he begs to be traded pretty much every year, and he constantly sabotages his own team and makes them look like absolute fools - and they LET him do it to them.

It's sad, really, that they want his bat in the lineup so badly that they let him get away with pushing an old man (and everything else he does).  

Boston deserves everything they get from this guy for letting him get away with so much c**p over the years.

He didn't beat him to a pulp, he pushed him. Then he apologized and the secretary didn't press charges.

Trust me, I'm a Sox fan and I'm getting sick of him. He's a great player but when he's not at the bat, he's useless.
