After she dominated all those events, there must have been mandatory testing. How come they never picked up on anything?

  1. Because they don't have the test then.

I hear of keeping samples for 7 years so when the technology catch

to how some athlete mask drugs.

  2. There is a technology of testing and a technology of cheating. If one technology is better than the other, as was probably the case with Marion Jones, then you're never going to get caught.

Personally, I believe the Marion Jones situation is the truer situation. I believe most athletes 'cheat' and don't get caught. They have to, to win.

  3. Most of the new substances can not be detected. The synthetic substances are becoming more complex and mimics the body's own natural chemicals. This includes genetic doping.

There is also the significance of alleged cover-ups, most notably by the U.S. Olympic Committee. They have since handed over responsibility for the doping tests to the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.

  4. They may not have been testing for the ones she was taking, or the tests simply weren't sensitive enough...

  5. I don't know they must have ways of bypassing these tests and there was something very fishy about that Flo Jo too.

I felt really sorry for the girls that run with Jones they lost their medals because of a cheat and imagine how much she made in endorsments.

  6. cause she had the same sneaky chemist as Phelps does.

  7. Possibly because it takes time for the drugs to get through the system? im not completely sure but it may have something to do with that.
