If I were Lieberman I'd get a food taster and someone to start my car.

You never know.

  1. mavericks in the Lib party are as rare as original thinkers are here

    Listen to Rush much

    Plagiarism sucks

  2. McCain has been calling himself a maverick since he was a naval aviator because he refused to follow the rules which is what caused him to crash several planes.  He thought it made him sound dangerous so he continued to call himself one when he started in politics.  If maverick means voting 95% with party line, I guess I don't know what a maverick is.

Murdering for political gain is a Republican thing, that is why JFK, RFK, MLK, Paul Wellstone and Mel Carnahan were all murdered and Tom Daschle and Patrick Leahy were sent anthrax.  It is the Bush Crime Family MO.

Lieberman made a deal with Cheney during his VP run.  Cheney would show Lieberman how to get jobs for his wife and family so they could start making the money Repubs do and Lieberman would be a turncoat on the war issues.  It also helped that Lieberman is basically a tool for Israel.

  3. If McCain had given a speech at the DNC in favor of Obama, he would be dead meat in the Republican Party, not just a maverick.

  4. Mavericks do not exist in the democrat party. If you stray from the liberal party line, you are thrown under the bus faster than flies on sh*t.

  5. One must point out that they haven't actually done anything to Lieberman.

One must also point out that the only ones who consider McCain a maverick now are the ones who were p*ssed off that he was one before; and now consider him a "maverick" because he is now toeing the party line.

And one must finally point out that Lieberman, even if he does wind up getting "punishment" (which is basically asking him to just go be with the Republicans already and quit playing around), earned it by spitting in the face of those who voted for him.

Either he is a Republican, and needs to just go on and be a Republican and stop playing games, or he just betrayed his own voters.

  6. McCain is a maverick only in his own mind.  A maverick does not vote along party lines 95% of the time.  A maverick does not flip flop on almost everyone of his major positions.  A maverick does not accept being forced to abandon his first choice of VP (Lieberman) because of party pressure and threats.  McCain is an old man on his last political legs and he will say and do anything he thinks he needs to in order to become the POTUS.  Lieberman is dead meat on either side.  He has shown his true colors and come his next election he will get no support from the Democrats nor from the GOP.

  7. McCain is a sidekick (Bush), not a Maverick.  There's nothing rebellious about anyone that agrees with anything 95% of the time!  Lieberman, well he's another story that will fade come election time.  The Democrats will never re-elect him and the Republican party will not absorb him, so it looks like there really is 'No Country for Old Men'.

  8. The Democratic Party does not tolerate the degree of diversity that the Republican Party does.

I know a lot of Republicans don't like McCain much because he doesn't tow the Party line, but he is at least respected.

Look at Obama; he is such a Party Liner that no member of the Democratic Establishment can disagree with him.  The same is true of Biden, only more so.

McCain and Palin are both mavericks.  They are the ones who represent Change.

  9. It must be that tolerance for all viewpoints that dumbocrats have.

  10. all Democrats are true Mavericks, not side kicks like McCain.

the problem is , Lieberman never was a true Democrat.

  11. The Democrats are extremely disloyal.  Lieberman was a good Democrat but he was for the Iraq war and its eventual victory. The Dems didn't like this and pushed him out of an election in his state. He then took on the banner of the Independent party and won the election.  Lieberman is very close with McCain and believes in some of the things that McCain adheres to therefore Lieberman made the speech at the Republican convention.  Lieberman is through with the Democratic party.
