How come Sirius stock is way lower than XM stock price?

How come Sirius stock is way lower than XM stock price?

I think cuz they spent reserve money to buy XM but when the merger goes thru the stock should go up.

Stock price is not important, and can be manipulated through stock splits.

Think of a business as a pie and the slices are the shares.  The more slices I make the smaller each one is, but the size of the pie never changes.

These companies are of similar overall size or market capitalization (shares outstanding times share price).

XMSR has 319.5 Million shares outstanding

SIRI has 1.5 Billion shares outstanding

There are a lot more "slices" of SIRI so each is worth less.
