How come UK cinemas don't offer butter for the popcorn?

The liquid butter that is so delicious in US cineams isn't available in any UK cinema chain I know of. The multiplexes copy a lot of things from the US, so why not this tasty treat?

  1. It's not really butter, they just melt down fat and put it on your popcorn.

That's why it tastes so good!

  2. because if they did the government would tax them on it

  3. they dont want you to die from a heart attack while watching a movie

  4. The one in Telford does.

  5. I think that because it would make it far too rich. I for one cannot eat anything with melted butter on it, as it makes me want to puke. The simplest solution would be to take a small beaker of melted butter with you into the cinema and add it under cover of darkness in the auditorium. What the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve over. Incidentally, if, as you say, your nearest cinema is a thirty minute drive away, then you could always place it in a thermos type container. it should stay melted by the time you get there. Not that I've ever put it to the test.

  6. Because British teeth are already yellow.

  7. Because I think British people like to not become fat and die cuz their overweight!

  8. they do down here in devon,oh wait thats just the yellow look.yeah why dont they.d**n them lol
