How come USA DS games can be used on UK DS lites but USE XBOX360 games cant be used on UK XBOX360 consoles?

Because the Nintendo DS games from America work on the UK DS Lite, does this mean that the Nintendo Wii games from the USA will work on UK Wii's?

Regional lockout

The console checks for a certain key in a string of data on the game disc and different Regions have different keys.

Its pretty much a way for gaming company's to make more money.

It's a little thing called "region coding."

Games for the DS are not region coded, nor is the DS region coded. However, bigger consoles ARE region coded. This might be stop p****y and have people buy games from their respective companies so they don't lose money.

No, just because one non-native game works for one native system doesn't mean that principle applies to other systems as well.

Nope, you can only use the games from UK on a UK WII and US games will only work on US XBOX360 not the UK version.
