How come Williams sisters aren't playing in Montreal's masters?

Venus withdrew with tendonitis in her left knee. Serena did not even plan to play in Montreal anyway, but she also has a knee injury. I think the're saving themselves for the Beijing Olympics.

They both seem pretty prone to injuries.

It could be lack of conditioning from not enough practice and playing.

They are both very injury prone and their careers are not what they could be if they were healthy.

They need better physical trainers and need to devote more time to working on their games.

Both are injured. The Williams sisters withdraw with any sign of injury which has allowed them to prolong there careers into there late 20's where the likes of Justine and Kim Clijsters failed because they played through the pain.

Both will be fine for the US Open.

they dont like to play in any tournaments except the Slams.  Thats why their rankings are so low
