Every time I plug in any USB device (iPod, Flash Drive, Memory card from digital camera) Windows isn't even attempting to read it. When I try to open Autoplay, nothing happens. I opened up my tower and made sure everything was plugged in correctly, still nothing. What could the reason?

  1. your usb port on comp doesn't support your usb drive, or maybe all your usb ports are broken...;

  2. Windows may be turning a blind eye to your external drive for several reasons. First, you should figure out if the problem is with that particular drive or port. Try plugging the drive into another USB port - preferably one on the other side of the computer or tower. Some ports (usually the front ones on desktops) can be more finicky than others. Next, try the drive in another PC, or another drive in the same PC. These tests will tell you if you have a bad drive (which you can easily replace), a reasonable workaround, (By using another port), or a real problem.

  3. What Windows do you use?

    Or you should reinstall The Windows since you cannot read more than one usb gadgets, so I assumed there's something wrong with your Windows..

  4. The USB is more powerful than your USB Port.  Some USB ports do not support USB 2 devices.
