How come Yahoo Groups daily digests are almost never sent daily?

Most of the groups I am in get them sent out 3 times a day, or every other day. And it's not like they wait to get a certain number of messages, because I've gotten digests with only 4, and some with over 10. What is up with this?

Usually a group will send one post each time it has reach 25 posts but not sooner. However if nothing has been posts in days then usually it will resend the same posts twice. It's sucks but that's just how someone told me about it.
