  1. people are suckers when it comes to convenience, especially if they're "on the run".

  2. Yep, you pay for the convenience of having a smaller bottle/cup and not having to pour it into your own cup and use your own ice.

  3. mostly due to marginal value.  sometimes getting more of something  is less valuable.  for example, if you were really hungry and i said i would sell you a slice of pizza, how much would that slice be worth to you?  what if i offered you 2 slices? then how much would you be willing to pay? what if i offered you 10 slices?

  4. because most people want something on the go.  so they raise the price of the 20oz soda because it's cold so you get it to go.  the littler is on the shelf not ready to go for a quick drink.

  5. I've never heard of 27oz coke, are you sure you're reading the label right?

Also, if the 1liter is a sale price, that would explain the difference.

  6. The 1 litre is pre-bottled at mfg, while the 27oz is made and bought at the conveniece store. They are using their cups, lids, coke syrup and carbonation, place to serve it from. This all adds up to cost for something you can buy by the bottle, buy a cup and ice at 88 cents.
