How come a pedophile can rape all the kids he wants and get immediate forgiveness from his priest or Jesus,but

a law-abiding generous kindly atheist automatically goes to h**l, according to 25% of American Christians? Are those who believe in this religion addle-brained or just haters of the highest magnitude?

That is really an odd belief, and certainly not in keeping with a just and loving God.

Of course God can forgive somebody who is really sorry; but that would include reforming one's life, wouldn't it?  Jesus said it would be better to be drowned in the sea than to corrupt a child.

Now an atheist who follows his/her conscience is doing the best he/she can, so I'm sure that God could forgive the little matter of not believing in God.

You might want to research the basis of the Christian faith before you dismiss it.  Forgiveness does not negate punishment.  Anybody who asks for forgiveness of god will get it.  If an atheist never asks for forgiveness for his disbelief then how can he be forgiven.  On the other hand if a man is so ashamed of his actions (no matter the deed) that he asks for forgiveness than who am I not to forgive him knowing that he will still suffer his punishment.  I am willing to forgive both atheist and murderer alike.  The difference is that the atheist wont have a punishment.

Whos to say those pedophiles were ever forgiven? Its going to take allot more than a check or confession to get Jesus's forgiveness.

And, the fact that 25% of christians say athiests are going to h**l, well, thats just their opinion. Personally, I believe if you are a good person, even if you dont believe in God, well, then you would go to heaven.
