How come a small soda costs a dollar at McDonalds but an extra large costs 89 cents?

This is true at all the McDonalds near where I live. I don't know about all of them.

  1. I would love to pay 89 cents for a large coke. I just paid 203 today for a medium.


  2. It's the same question I always posed how the double cheeseburger is cheaper than a regular cheeseburger

    Makes no sense

    It's too fishy..that's why I generally eat at Carl's Jr. instead. Their one dollar burgers/chicken sandwiches are much bigger and much better tasting than anything on the McDonald's menu.

  3. They put the extra large on sale over the summer but I guess they never took it off of sale.

  5. ummm i think a small cost $1 and if you want to make it extra large add $ .89 soo it would be $1.89 im not sure

  8. basically the more  of their food you consume the more you will get used to it therefore you will start coming back more. also, to make the soda is like dirt cheap for mcdonalds cause its like all water and then just suger and flavouring.

    in truth , the large one probably doesn't have a lot more soda, just a lot more ice.....

  15. The soda costs them pennies.  The rest is their profit.  They want to encourage gluttony.  Therefore, they encourage you to supersize everything.
