How come all images on facebook are resized?

when i upload pictures to facebook, it resizes them all. Is it possible to not have this so they stay high quality and large? or does it have to be that way on facebook?

I think facebook has a certain size limit so your images can only be a certain size when you upload it. This is prevent pages from lagging too much I guess.

The only way to maintain the quality is if you resize them yourself.

By cropping out the extra, then facebook wont resize them if they meet there standards of size.

So crop before you upload.

u can use programm to resize your pictures,then upload the pictures to your host! Picture Resize Genius is a good choice, thats the one im using.the output quality is well.
