How come all of the red sox fans suddenly hate manny ramirez.

Its not so much that everyone suddenly hates manny but more just that people put up with manny's shenanigans for so long because he is so good. its like when red sox fans talk **** on a rod. he's a great player but we still talk **** on him because he's not on our team. Manny being Manny was just an expression people used to avoid getting mad at one of their players because when you start attacking your own players the whole ballclub starts to collapse. Manny's antics the past couple months have also far exceeded his previous episodes and were very insulting and arrogant.

In short, red sox fans just got tired of holding in their real feelings towards manny and know that he's no longer on the red sox they don't have to

I think all teams should change at some point and I both Jason Bay and Manny Ramirez have been with their teams' for a long time and were ready for something new. I always enjoy seeing trades. Griffey Jr. to the White Sox and Pudge Rodriguez to the Yankees.... didn't see that comming!

Yeah right... I'm a Sox fan, in New England and I have to defend him everytime he fights with the management... people are more flakey about him than he is about anything...

The Red Sox are immature morons... they traded him outta spite... all they had to do was pick up his option in the spring and they woudln't have had to deal with this c**p... he still has like 5 good years in him.  

Now there is no one to protect Papi, they didn't get a pitcher back in that deal so they still have a failed Bullpen and they paid for Manny so they didn't save money...

Even when they trade Nomar they got 2 players back... one of em they should have kept but they blew that one too...

sorry for ranting but I'm steamed right now... this rivals the Thornton trade the Bruins made for complete dumbness.

He was not playing to the best of his abilities and his antics were just

becoming a HUGE distraction from the game of Baseball and he was a huge cry baby over the last few weeks. Baseball is a team sport not one individual so wish him luck and Welcome Jason!

I don't hate Manny, he is one helluva ball player, but you can only put up with so much B.S. before enough is enough. Manny had become a cancer in the clubhouse and it was time for him and the Sox to part ways, the Sox got their money's worth from him, and he got $160 million from the Sox, and 2 world Series rings. I would have loved to see Manny end his career in a Sox uniform, but I guess that just wasn't meant to be. I wish Manny all the luck in the world, and hope he remembers just how loved he was in Boston despite the episodes of "Manny being Manny"!!!!!!

ok, me being a red sox fan ill try to put it into an open perspective. manny has led the sox to there first two ws victories in 86 years. how would you yankee fans feel if a-rod went to the brewers. its not about where he went (unlike damon) but the fact that we have lost him. and to feel angry when something is taken away from you is natural for all humans. so dont say it was "typical red sox fan" when we became angry with ramirez, all fans would be angry if they lost such a spectacular addition to there team. ...dont kick us while we're down...
