How come bugs have alot of protein?

what trait or special features of bugs make them have lots of protein? they supposedly have more protein than beef, or any other meat, why is that? is it what they eat?

  2. they're all exoskeleton and muscle.  they pretty much don't have room for fat, and the reason they're a better source of protein is because their bodies don't store fatty materials in the muscle, so per ounce you're getting leaner meat.

    also, chocolate covered crickets and cheddar cheese meal worms taste delightful.
