When i was conditioning them in seperate bowls the male was building a nest. Now when i put the male in with the female divided the male isn't building a nest anymore. Is it because i have to release the female or is it because i need to give it more time?

  1. bettatalk.com

This website has great info on breeding bettas

  2. betatalk helped me tons! ive breed hundreds of betas

  3. It means he isn't interested in her. Just because the fish are separate genders doesn't mean they'll necessarily want ot breed with each other, either now or ever. You can give him more time to show interest (keep them divided!). I highly suggest you do more research into Betta breeding before continuing, though.

  4. hes not interested in the female. animals are picky like humans, ya know!! lol, ya youll ave to get a diff feamle =/
