  1. dogs love to play

    cats are annoyed easily

if you raised them as kitten and puppy together they will grow up like brothers and sisters

  2. They don't but sometimes can get jealous of the other one and become rivals for your affection. Sometimes they get along just fine. My brother had a dog and cat that were the best of friends

  3. Nature.

not ALL cats and dogs hate each other though.

  4. How come humans hate spiders? Theres always aceptions to the rules

  5. they don't

you just watch too much cartoons

  6. Im not sure but sometimes they learn to get along.Kind of like people some ya like others ya cant get along with if ya try.

  7. Its not so much they hate each other... its just that dogs are big and cats are small. A dog wants to play and play by biting and headbutting and stuff. Cats dont "roll like that" lol. They are calm and laid back and dont want this big beast breathing down their neck wanting to play. Dogs dont mean anything by it except just to play.

  8. Most of the conflicts between cats and dogs are the result of misunderstanding, since they misinterpret each other's body language. If a dog approaches a cat in curiosity, wagging its tail - a sign of friendly greeting in dogs - the cat will feel threatened, since cats lash their tails when angry. The cat will flatten its ears, keep its tail down and raise a paw, which are signs of warning - the cat is saying: "Don't come any closer, or I will defend myself." To a dog, flattened ears and lowered tail are signs of submission, and a raised paw is a friendly gesture - the dog is therefore encouraged to approach. The cat, then convinced it is about to be attacked, will lash out, provoking the dog to do likewise.

Incidentally, cats and dogs can overcome these differences and live together quite happily, especially if they are raised together. Many people have both cats and dogs as pets and they get along fine.

  9. They really don't!  I have 2 big dogs, puppy sitting a 4 month old Papillion puppy and have 4 cats.  Now granted, the cats ain't real keen on being harassed by the pup who wants to play but it's not unusual to find one of the cats hanging out with my chocolate lab.  He loves cats!  I had a tonkanese that would let him pick her up and carry her around.......

3 out of the 4 cats really do like the dogs, the 4th, well, she's a loner cat.  Likes to spend time by herself and not hang out with the gang.

  10. they don't always hate each other, they get along fine most of the time.

sometimes dogs hate cats, but sometimes dogs hate other dogs.  it just depends on their compatibility.
