  1. Hes 3rd cause hes slower then Kyle

    Kyles 1st

  2. It's called consistency.

  3. because his last name is EARNHARDT

  4. It's primarily consistancy, but also in his contract, he has stated that he gets so much of the money allocated to where he places at the end of the race.

  5. Duh, by finishing consistently. The point system rewards this.

You don't have to win all the races to be champion. In fact, you could probably win none and still take home the cup if you were CONSISTENT enough.

  6. Because of his name

  7. The point system is supposed to reward consistency even if there aren't any wins.  I haven't really been paying attention to the season this year so I don't know if he is consistently finishing in the top 10, 20 or whatever.  He obviously has been consistent enough to move up from 10th place earlier in the season.

  8. he is always finishing in the top ten and the top five

  9. it's called consistance , being in top 5 and top 10 every week

  10. I want to know why you never see Junior with a female companion at any function. Never see any with Stewart either!

  11. Its all about being consistent, and that is exactly what he has done, as long as he stays consistent, he'll stay in the chase and with a win or two heck he might even contend for the championship..This is 100% better than he was last yr..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  12. 8 top-10's and 4 top-5's in 11 races will do that. Even with 3 wins, and without the 100 point penalty, Carl Edwards would still be behind Jr in points. Look at 2006, Denny Hamlin had 2 wins that season and finished 3rd in points, Kasey Kahne had 6 wins and finished 8th in points(BTW, JR had 1 win that season, and finished 5th). It's how you finish in the races you don't win that makes or breaks you in the points. BTW in 2003 when Kennseth won the title, he only won one race, but had 25 top-10's. Oh yeah, the season Kenseth had 5 wins he finished 8th.

  13. i dont know but hes one of my favorites!

  14. Points standings are based on finishing high and Junior is near the top. The drivers behind him have not finished all the races as high as he has. Carl Edwards has had a 100 point penalty, but would still be behind Junior. There are a lot of drivers who have won over a million so far this year. Matt Kenseth won the championship in 2003 with only one win, but he was always in the Top 10 it seemed.

  15. Being consistent is where the points pay.In theory a driver can finish consistently in the top 10 and not win a race but win the championship.

  16. It's because his coporate sponsors, awards won...like winning the pole, challenging for the win every wk....stuff like that.

  17. Consistency pays off.  Matt Kenseth won his championship with a 1 win season.  He just ran top 5 every week.

  18. Probably has not fully adjusted to the new car & crew!

  19. he has been consistant week in and week out finishing in the top 10 and top 5 and staying out of the major wrecks
