How come electric shavers are operated dry?

how does it remove everything without much lubrication? and how much hair can it take inside. can someone explain?

  1. they can't take that much hair, maybe three good beards, but that is why your face is red and your skin isn't too good afterwards..


  2. Thats the appeal in them they are more convienent cuz you can just shave with clothes on or however you like. Its not as close as regular razors but once you know what your doing they are very effective and less irritating. They do have ones you can use wet and with special lotions.

    They take in what you shave which isnt much since you use it with stuble but you have to open it up and rinse it out (normally)

  3. it takes "nothing inside", all the clippings fall outside.

    it runs dry because imagine the mess inside of it if it didn't. This way you just rinse off the clippings and you are done.
