How come even though I check the no email option for almost all my yahoo groups, a few still email me?

and they're not important announcements...when I check my preferences it has gotten back to the send email option, even if i have checked no email over and over

are you a member? often owners reset the mail settings of their members. if this could be the case, consider e-mailing the owner and asking if certain mail settings are required.

I have never had my mail settings changed in all the 20 plus groups I am in in over 8 years. most times it's not a bot but an owner doing it or a crafty new moderator

That does happen from time to time when Yahoo does some serious updating or changes in Yahoo groups.  We just have to keep an eye on it and change our email notification back to No Mail when it gets changed.  Sorry!
