Question:

How come every prisoner swap that Israel takes part in seems so one-sided for the other group?

For example, the current swap is 5 Hezbollah prisoners and 200 sets of remains for 2 Israeli prisoners (who they assume to be dead). You would think that first, at least they would demand to know the fate of the 2 soldiers.

  1. Because Israel takes a lot more prisoners than the Palestinians do.  Israel has killed over 30,000 Palis since 1947.

  2. its like this clip below you only get isreal side of the story and this is what happens in war they invaded lebannon, INVADED! so to think theres not going to be any captures is foolish.

to answer your question they can do that because the U.S allows them too

  3. All the Palestinians have to swap are the bodies of 2 soldiers killed in action while Israel hold hundreds if not thousands of prisoners. So a little difficult to make a fair swap.

  4. Doesn't matter.  Israel is about as good at keeping their word than the Palestinians are.  Do you really think the swap is going to take place without aerial reconnaissance so after the swap is made, an air strike is not called on the vehicle or house the prisoners are take to?  And the Israeli ones will probably be mutilated, not just dead.  That's the beauty of middle east politics, the t*t for tat is never over.
