How come every time you buy Drumsticks™ there is a little whole in the side of the cone?

  2. This allows the air to come out, so the ice cream can go deep into the cone. If the air had no where to go the ice cream would only go down so far into the cone.   Nature ahears a vaccum...  the same concept with a keg and a tap.  As the beer comes out of the keg something must replace it.. that "it" is air.
