How come everybody is telling me to get another guinea pig to go with my other one?

but the only reason people are saying for you to get another on is because they get lonely after a while because imagine if you were that guinea pig aways alone in a cage with no one to talk

anyway its your decision

If you don't want to, suit yourself seriously. It's just that your guinea pig will be lonely. Besides, it probably just needs a friend to cheer him up.

People are telling you that because guinea pigs get stressed out being alone that's why some pet stores don't even let you buy only one sometimes they tell you to buy 2 or even the whole family if they have kids too they have to stay together or they die of stress but its hard to keep one guinea pig as it is im sure you can find other ways to keep him happy if you don't wanna get another one that's your choice

But it's because guinea pigs can easily get depressed without another guinea pig friend, which leads to illnesses and a shorter life span.
