How come everytime I get a text for email alert I get 2 - one that says 2/2 - yahoo.com?

Every single time i get an alert on my cell phone for important mail I am receiving a second text that is absolutely useless. Is there a way I can stop this? It is very annoying and charging me twice for one mail message alert!!

Usually the second text, marked 2/2, means that it is 2 pages.  The msgs coming in are larger then what can be displayed on you mobile's screen, therefore, it beaks it up into 2 texts.... page 1 & 2. (1/2, 2/2)  I doubt there is anything you can do, it's the programming set up of the phone.

I used to get that too. I think it's becasue the text message is too long. I do not think you can do anything about it.
