  1. People are driving and using less gas.

  2. Blame Bush! It's all his fault. He went and made a "change" and now we all have to pay less!

  3. The crude prices dropped from $140 to $125.  The prices have been artificially inflated by the wall street speculators.

Now that people are finally cutting back on driving, the wall street speculators are selling more than buying (driving the prices down).

So now the gas prices have finally dropped.

    Good Luck...

  4. Because the summer travel season is coming to an end (kids are going back to school, etc.) Drivers will be using less gas, so the gas companies are pulling their claws out.

Ain't it grand how much the government and gas companies care about us?

  5. The price of a barrell of oil dropped.

    Edit: very cute Edg1

  6. supply and demand...price per barrel went down...you need to do some current events browsing..

  7. the dollar is strengthening giving us more gas for our money when we buy it from foreign countries

  8. It's not at all surprising. Right now, we're in between the 4th of July and Labor Day. Gas prices shot up for Memorial Day and the 4th of July, and will again for Labor Day.

So enjoy the lower prices while you can. In a couple of weeks, they'll start moving back up, peaking during the Labor Day weekend.

  9. Lower price of crude oil + less demand for gasoline in the Untied States = lower gas prices.
